Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo has warned the National Unity Platform (NUP), Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine about his continued attack and blackmail of the Supreme Court bench.

Owiny-Dollo who claimed that matters that arise outside court don’t concern him and has no time for it but cautioned Bobi Wine that If he thinks he can intimidate, blackmail the Chief Justice Of Uganda, he is going to crash.

“The last time we sat here I spoke on how we will conduct ourselves in the matter before us. The lordships as it is provided for in the constitution took an oath to protect it without fear favor affection or ill will,” Owiny said.

Last week Bobi Wine asked Chief Justice Owiny-Dollo among other two justices to recuse themselves from his election petition hearing sighting conflict of interest.

According to Bobi Wine, Chief Justice Owiny Dollo was Museveni’s defense Lawyer in 2006, Mike Chibita was Museveni’s private Secretary for 7 years and Ezekiel Muhanguzi is a close relative to the Security Minister Gen. Elly Tumwine.

That aside, Supreme Court set March 18 2021 as the date to deliver judgment in the presidential election petition. According to Chief Justice Owiny-Dollo, the hearing will be mainly conducted through written submissions due to time constraints.
