If Magufuli was in Uganda, he would be in NRM—Minister Kiwanda

As Uganda joins Tanzania in mourning the death of President John Pombe Magufuli, the National Resistance Movement vice chairperson Buganda region Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda has said that if Magufuli was in Uganda he would have been part of NRM.

“If Magufuli was in Uganda, he would be in NRM, not a rebel NRM. He believed in his party and he believed in hardwork. He believed in self-reliance of his country. He believed in Pan Africanism,” said Minister kiwanda.

Being a teacher by profession, Mukono Woman MP Hon. Betty Nambooze who was on the same political show with Minister Kiwanda said Magufuli’s achievements make one feel like punishing our head of state.

“When you look at Magufuli’s achievements, you feel like issuing corporal punishment to Uganda’s head of state and his officials. I urge Tanzania to continue with Magufuli’s legacy and change in freedom of expression where he fell short,” said Hon. Nambooze

Last week,the country’s vice-president now the President Samia Suluhu Hassan announced in an address on state television that Magafuli succumbed to heart complications at a hospital in Dar es Salaam. Magufuli was serving his second term in office was 61.
