A Rastafarian Albert Aheebwa has been elected as speaker of Fort Portal City. He beat his rival Betty Mujungu with only two votes in the race for Speaker.

Aheebwa said despite being elected speaker, he is not about to cut off his dreadlocks saying the people of Fort Portal entrusted him with their mandate despite being a Rastafarian.

“The voters have trust in me because of how I presented my ideas. I am African and I believe in black superiority. All our  ancestors who fought against the black suppression in the Western world and for the superiority of the black people grew their hair,” he said.
