Sad news coming from the scene of Gen. Katumba Wamala’s assassination attempt indicates that the driver Haruna Kayondo and daughter of Gen. Katumba, Brenda Wamala have been confirmed dead.
Katumba has been rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment pending to be transferred to Nakasero Hospital.
Unknown four armed assailants riding on two black motorbikes shot at his vehicle at Kisota Road, Kisasi, according to eye witnesses.
The scene of crime has been condoned off by security forces. Police and UPDF are yet to give an official statement about the incident.
