“The general was heading to Namasuba for his mother in law’s Virgil,” Gen. Katumba’s PA speaks out

General Edward Katumba Wamala’s personal assistant has spoken to the media and revealed that the General was shot a few meters from his home by unknown assailants as he left his home for Namasuba, for his mother in law’s virgil.

This morning, Gen Katumba Wamala had tweeted wishing Ugandans “a month of happiness, success, peace, prosperity, good health and wealth.”

The driver and daughter of Gen. Katumba, Brenda have been confirmed dead. Katumba has been rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment pending to be transferred to Nakasero Hospital.

The Chief of Defense Forces Gen David Muhoozi is currently in Kisaasi, visiting the crime scene where Gen Katumba Wamala’s car was shot at this morning.

The scene of crime has been condoned off by security forces. Police and UPDF are yet to give an official statement about the incident.
