As one of the measures to curb the second wave of the deadly Covid 19 pandemic, President Museveni ordered all schools to close for 42 days starting on Monday June 7. With inter district transportation banned, the students were given up to Wednesday June 9 to travel back home.

Starting on Thursday June 10, only emergency and vehicles transporting goods will be allowed to travel from one district to another. However some parents in Masaka district are stranded as KY primary is only releasing students who have zero school fees balance.

“Parents stranded as Masaka School refuses to let students  go without clearing all school fees to zero.KY primary school has held onto the children as collateral security against their  will for the last two days,” posted NBS’s Daniel Lutaaya.
