Boda boda rider knocks police officer at checkpoint

Police has arrested a boda boda rider identified as Kalenvu Isma for knocking a police officer at checkpoint.

According to Charles Twiine, the CID spokesperson, Kalenvu who was carrying a passenger on his motorcycle registration M/C UFF 780P at 1930hr refused to stop at the checkpoint in Mbalala Kampala Jinja highway and instead decided to knock a female police officer called Chemutai Juliet leaving her in a critical condition.

The officer was rushed to the nearby clinic where she is currently receiving treatment. The suspect is currently under detention pending to be charged before court.

The suspect identified as Haman Rujjumba was arrested and charged before court.
