The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu has urged the clergy to put to use the various income generating venture that church has managed to avail to them especially during this time of lockdown.

With the country under lockdown in bid to stop the spread of COVID-19, churches are among the many places that were closed and several church leaders have been struggling to survive since they were depending on money collected during church services.

Kazimba however says that the clergy has to think of alternative ways to sustain themselves as opposed to waiting on the tithe from the faithful. He says church has a lot of vacant land that the leaders need to put to good use.
