Solomon Serwanjja to leave NBS TV after six years

Celebrated journalist Solomon Serwanjja has confirmed he will be leaving Naguru Hill-based, NBS TV following six years of service to focus on his new role as the Executive Director at African institute for Investigate Journalism.

“On 31st July, I will be leaving @nbstv. It has been such an honour to serve for the last 6 years. Thank you @KKariisa and the entire @nextmediaug family for the support. I will now focus on my new role as the Executive Director @AfricanIIJ, the home of investigative journalism,”Serwanjja posted.

Serwanjja who won 2019 BBC World News Komla Dumor Award for his investigative story on the illegal sale of prescription drugs, says he will stop working with NBS TV on July 31st and take over as Executive Director of African Institute for Investigative Journalism.
He has been covering investigative stories at the same time reading ‘Live at 9’ news on NBS TV.

Serwanjja started his journalism career at UBC TV, switched to Serena-based NTV and later NBS TV.
Apart from working for UBC, NBS TV and NTV, Serwanjja also worked as news reporter and anchor for KTN. Serwanjja recently graduated with a Degree of Master of Arts in Journalism and Communication.
