Uganda officially in partial lockdown; here are the guidelines

President Museveni has partially lifted the lockdown instituted 42-days ago after the country registered a consistent reduction in new Covid-19 infections and deaths
In his address, President Museveni said that the hospital Covid-19 patient admissions
have dropped from over 1,000 in early June to over 600 ending July.

Well as some sectors like the entertainment industry, schools remain closed ,some sectors like public transport, saloons were allowed to operate. Mr Museveni said civil Standard Operating Measures (SOPs) obedience in disciplines allowed to operate will be reviewed after two weeks.

Below are the partial lockdown guidelines he issued.
➡️Curfew maintained at 7pm
➡️Boda bodas now allowed to move up to 6pm, with one passenger only and strictly following SOPs.
➡️Kikuubo to open but without kiosks and without roadside vending, to reduce congestion. Kikuubo should remain a wholesale trading centre.
➡️Malls and arcades can open with strict compliance to SOPs. Must have compliance officers, ventilation etc
➡️Burial attendees should not exceed 20.
➡️Weddings also 20 people only.
➡️Places of worship to remain closed for 60 days. Virtual prayers should be led by maximum of 10 people
➡️Sports can continue but no spectators. Testing of officials and players should be done 72 hours before event. Indoor sports like gym, pool table, remain closed.
➡️Concerts, gaming, betting, bars remain closed.
➡️Restaurants remain open.
➡️Salons can continue to work.
➡️Sauna and steam bath are super spreaders. Remain closed.
➡️Schools remain closed until sufficient vaccination of students 12 to 18 years is done. Learning can continue virtually. Safe opening of medical schools should be done.
➡️20% of workers to report.
➡️Private vehicles can move across districts with only 3 occupants.
➡️Movement in and out of Uganda will remain open. UPDF to manage screening at airport
➡️Cargo trucks can move.
➡️Public transport open at 50% capacity starting Monday 2 August. To be reviewed after 2 weeks.
➡️No air conditioning in all public transport
➡️Food markets remain open.
➡️Seasonal markets remain closed
