12 suspects captured on CCTV camera assaulting and robbing an Indian in broad daylight arrested

Police has arrested 12 of the 14 suspects and retrieved three motorcycles in connection to last month’s robbery attack on an Indian that was captured on CCTV camera.

Last month, video made rounds on social media were 14 robbers travelling on  seven boda bodas attacked a man who was also moving on a boda boda at Mawanda Road junction, Kamwokya in Kampala.

The victim Jiwan Lal, is an accountant working with Rigil agro peck limited in Kololo.

“Following a heightened Intelligence led operation as helped by CCTV police cameras against these motorcycle organized gangs. Suspects confessed to the crime and properly guided the police to scene reconstruction,” said CID spokesperson Charles Twiine.
