Four-time presidential candidate and Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) founding president Dr Kizza Besigye has said that currently the rivarly amongst captives (opposition) is failing the progress of the ‘struggle.’

The opposition strongman says the struggle must be a confrontation of power between those who want to dominate and control against those who want to take away power. He however reveals that of late, captives are focusing on who dominates the opposition.

“Today, the biggest danger to liberation is the rivalry between the captives, all the oppressed must organise and unite for liberation,” Besigye says.

“Our mission is not just to change Government, it’s to change the rule by the gun. We have been categorically clear that our struggle is nonviolent,” he adds.

He believes the struggle they started long ago will come to an end as they have capable candidates who were in the reserve and they are currently good to lead the front line.
