Makerere Gov’t Admissions: Here are the Top Secondary Schools with Highest Number of Students

Makerere University has released its admission list of 2,500students admitted on government sponsorship.

The new entrants will start the new academic year on November 1.

The list shows that St Mary’s SS Kitende dominated the government admissions, with 107 students, followed by Uganda Martyrs Namugongo with 85. Mengo Secondary School and King’s College Budo will both send 45 students.

Gombe Secondary School and Mt. St Mary’s Namagunga tie with 35 students. St Mary’s College Kisubi, Gayaza High School, and Seeta High School will send 29, 28, and 27 students respectively. Seeta High School Mukono closes the top 10 schools with 26 students.

Of the 1,952 that had students seat for A’level last year, only 243 schools have students on the government sponsorship.
