Rwomushana: The people who said would remove the dictator are now busy at weddings

Controversial political analyst Charles Rwomushana has hit at the National Unity Platform (NUP) party for ‘abandoning the struggle’ and resorting to merry-making.

Speaking during the NBS Barometer show, the former Museveni spy said NUP has of late turned into a party club.

Over the weekend, musician come NUP member Ali Buken alias Nubian Li wedded his long-time lover Salha Mutoni. The merry-making event happened at Kibuli Mosque Kampala before hosting their guests at Silver Springs Bugolobi.

Before Nubian Li, Bobi Wine’s brother Mikie Wine was introduced by his baby mama, Shanzney Khan.

Also earlier on, NUP spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi treated his wife Fabrice Ssenyonyi to a lavish baby shower held at Bobi Wine’s One Love Beach.

With such happenings, Rwomushana thinks NUP ‘ditched’ the struggle.

“The people who said they would remove the dictator are now busy at weddings,” said Rwomushana as he praised Dr. Kizza Besigye’s timing of launching of his pressure group, the People’s Front for Transition.

Rwomushana alleged that some members in NUP pretend to be in the struggle but are getting money from Museveni.

“There are people signing for money from Deputy Speaker Among,” he said.

However, Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro, the newly appointed Deputy Spokesperson of NUP trashed Rwomushana’s claims and allegations saying; “Rwomushana is a confusion-monger.” One of the people who left loopholes in the Constitution. They didn’t close the door.”
