Police speaks on Komamboga Explosion

Police has released a statement on the explosion that happened at Digida pork joint in Komamboga, Kawempe Division on Saturday night.

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says one person is confirmed dead and seven others have been rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital with serious injuries.

The incident occurred at about 9pm.

“The scene has been cordoned off, and our joint task teams from the bomb squad called to thoroughly document the scene, to help determine whether the explosion arose out of an intentional act or not.

Police has asked the public to remain calm.

“Any new developments will be communicated in due course,” Enanga said.
