On October 28, the Head of State President Yoweri Museveni addressed the nation on the Covid situation and security. While commenting on the President’s address Busiro East Member of Parliament Hon. Meddard Ssegona said that the President didn’t disappoint him.

“I watched the President’s speech. I was not disappointed. Like on previous occasions, the President didn’t look sincere,” said Ssegona.

Ssegona who was appearing on Next Radio added that when the President talked about the Bachwez/Batembezi he was tempted to think that he(Museveni)  was part of  that era.

“He lectured us on the history of the Bachwezi and Batembezi and I was almost tempted to think he was around during that time,”said Ssegona.

This was after Museveni talked about the bachwezi while emphasizing how he’s the first person from his family to be in government.

“I have never had anybody in my family in the Government of the Republic of Uganda. I am the first to be in government. We have never had even a muluka chief but we have been here from the time of the bachwezi,” said Museveni
