First son and Commander of the UPDF Land forces, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has praised Democratic Party (DP) President Norbert Mao as a great man.
“My big brother Norbert Mao is the most brilliant opposition leader in Uganda today. He has Presidential skills,” Gen Muhoozi wrote on his Twitter handle.
Mao has been President of the Democratic Party since 2010. He has contested against Muhoozi’s father President Yoweri Museveni twice (2011 and 2021) in the presidential elections.
Just like many other opposition leaders, Mao has been in the recent past been accused of being a mole for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
However, Mao has always responded to those that accuse him of being a mole by calling them, hypocrites.
