Reports about the health situation of Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah have been making the rounds on the internet.

Chris Obore, Parliament’s director of communication and public relations, last evening confirmed that Deputy Speaker Anita Among traveled to the US to check on her boss and also update him about the business at parliament.

He also revealed that some individuals had ‘hacked’ into Wikipedia and altered Oulanyah’s biography.

Oulanyah was sent to the hospital in Seattle City because of his health problems. The actual nature of his illness is still a mystery to this day.

National Unity Platform leader, Robert Kyagulanyi has urged Ugandans to unite and pray for the Speaker.

“Reports of the continuing ill health of Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanya have been of great concern to many Ugandans. Over a week ago, I reached out to some of his family members and extended a message of wishes for his quick recovery. This is a time when all of us, despite our different political affiliations should unite and pray for his recovery,” said Kyagulanyi.
