The state minister for Peter Ogwang has revealed that police spokesperson Fred Enanga is among the 81 people who will be awarded medals for their distinguished service as the country celebrates Heroes Day on Thursday, June 9.
According to the minister, Enanga will receive a golden jubilee medal for his service in the police.
“He headed the economic crime department and worked as CID commander for Kampala Metropolitan police, commandant for land protection police unity, commissioner for CID administration, and training, among others.”
“He demonstrated high professional standards in criminal investigations, including large scale corporate fraud of Shs12b and procurement fraud,” Ogwang explained.
The celebrations will be presided over by President Yoweri Museveni at the Kololo ceremonial grounds.
