Kamwokya councillor killed in gang attack

Kamwokya Church Zone LCIII councillor, James Kakooza, was found dead this morning.

Reports indicate that he was hit by unidentified thugs as he jogged through Kamwokya.

According to residents, Chairman Kakooza has been pivotal in fighting criminal gangs that had started killing residents of Kamwokya.

He was elected LCIII councillor with 1,503 votes, defeating NUP’s Francisco Bwambale, who garnered 493 votes.

By press time, police were yet to issue a statement about the incident.
