Dorothy Nabulime, a mother who appeared in a viral video physically abusing her child has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Nabulime has been convicted on her own plea as she pleaded guilty and asked for forgiveness, saying she did it out of anger.

She attributed her anger to a claim that she conceived the child she punished out of rape and doesn’t know its father to this day.
