A health worker from Zeu Health Center III in Zombo District is in trouble after losing Shs6.7 million intended for a vaccination campaign in sports betting.

The money in question was given to Nasser Kerim, a supervisor for the Aka sub-county vaccination campaign, to assist Village Health Teams (VHTs), local council chairs, and other health professionals during the campaign.

However, he allegedly failed to pay the officials as agreed and instead used some of the funds to wager on sports during the World Cup, which is still going on.
