Traffic officer, student knocked dead by Internal Affairs vehicle

Police at Lira Central Police Station is investigating the cause of an accident that claimed the lives of Micah Muhindo, a traffic officer, and Evester Akello, a student of Amac Modern SS.

According to Jimmy Patrick Okema, the spokesperson for North Kioga Police, the accident happened this morning at Adwila on the Lira-Soroti highway.

Okema claimed that a Ford Ranger belonging to the Internal Affairs Ministry with the license plate UG 0337G struck a motorcyclist first before veering to the side of the road and striking the officer and three other people.
