New details emerge on Jaja Iculi’s shooting

Popular vlogger Ibrahim Tusubira alias Isma Olaxes aka Jjaja Ichuli was shot dead on Saturday night near his house in Kyanja.

Sources that claim to have seen his postmortem report reveal that six bullets were found in his body.

Security teams working on the investigation returned to the crime scene on Sunday and made attempts to obtain CCTV footage from private parties so they could connect it to their own CCTV systems.

According to our sources, police have already determined that neither a car nor a motorcycle was following Isma as his killer patiently waited for him close to his home.

Isma’s killer is said to have arrived at the crime scene almost two hours earlier and was observed by residents, who did not pay him much attention. Locals have even since told police that the killer was not wearing a mask.

“We are engaging those homes we have seen with CCTV cameras to share with us the footage. Once we get these CCTV videos, we shall be able to give details of the killer and how it all happened,” Owoyesigyire said.

Isma’s driver, Mathias Waiswa, who was unharmed during the shooting, is currently being protected as a key witness, according to Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police.

Many Ugandans have condemned Isma’s murder, including Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Bobi Wine, Parliament Speaker Anita Among, and Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa.

Isma was laid to rest on Sunday in Katwe-Nkokonjeru in Buikwe district.
