Police in Fort Portal have successfully arrested Ssali Joash, 37, the school patron of Kasisi Day and Boarding Primary School, who was on the run. He faces serious allegations of aggregated defilement and sodomy of three male pupils.
According to Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson, the suspect was reported on June 12, 2023, for the alleged sexual abuse of three male pupils in the boarding section.
Medical examinations revealed that one of the victims suffered a raptured anus, providing evidence of penetration, while the other two were found to be negative.
All three students have undergone psycho-social support due to the severe psychological trauma they experienced.
Enanga condemned all forms of sexual violence in schools and reassured the public that the police would ensure the school patron is held accountable for his crimes.
