Police in Kaabong district are investigating the circumstances under which two children were killed and two others sustained injuries after a bomb exploded. The incident happened on Saturday at Nakituriket village in Kakamar Sub County, Kaabong district.

A preliminary police report indicates that the four boys left home to go and cut trees to fence the goat’s kraal before they stumbled upon the abandoned bomb.

One Ayollo Lokutai, aged 13, picked up the bomb and started playing with it while hitting the base of the tree as Lokoel Komol, aged 12, looked on.
