Tycoon Gordon Wavamunno’s son Joe Kayima dies in bathroom accident

Joe Wavamuno Kayima, the son of renowned Ugandan businessman Gordon Wavamuno, has died at the age of 57. According to family sources, Kayima passed away following an accident in a bathroom while in Thailand.

Reports indicate that Kayima had travelled to Thailand with his wife, Doreen, for medical treatment. His elder brother, Elvis, confirmed that they were preparing for a scheduled operation on Monday. Kayima was found unresponsive at around 3 p.m. local time.

In his professional life, Joe Wavamuno Kayima was a key figure in managing aspects of his father’s vast business empire, which includes Spear Motors, Uganda’s authorized distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
