The U.S. Embassy in Kampala has issued a warning against using fraudulent documents in visa applications, stressing that such deception leads to a lifetime ban from entering the United States.

In a statement released Monday, the embassy emphasized that submitting falsified documents constitutes fraud—a serious offense with long-term consequences.

“If you submit fake documents with your U.S. visa application, you are committing fraud and risking your future,” the embassy cautioned.

Officials also reassured the public that they are constantly outpacing document vendors and adapting to emerging threats, making it increasingly difficult to deceive the system.

“We stay one step ahead of document vendors and adapt to emerging threats,” the statement added.

To safeguard their future travel opportunities, applicants are urged to remain honest throughout the visa process.

“Protect your future—be truthful and do not submit fake documents,” the embassy advised.

The statement also stressed that any attempt to falsify documents not only results in an automatic ban but also damages an individual’s credibility with U.S. immigration authorities, potentially affecting future applications.

Visa applicants are strongly encouraged to follow regulations and provide accurate, verifiable information to ensure a smooth and successful application process.
