A routine Brussels Airlines flight to Belgium took an unexpected turn when two passengers lost consciousness mid-air.

Fortunately, among those on board was Dr. Jonathan Ssozi Mulungi, a Ugandan medical doctor whose swift response turned a potential tragedy into a tale of heroism.

Dr. Mulungi was traveling as a passenger when an urgent call for medical assistance rang through the cabin. Without hesitation, he stepped up and successfully resuscitated both individuals, stabilizing them before the plane reached its destination. His quick thinking and medical expertise earned him admiration from passengers and the flight crew alike.

Reflecting on the experience, Dr. Mulungi later shared a heartfelt message on social media:

“On board a flight to Brussels, I was called upon to resuscitate two unconscious patients, which I did. It was a great honor, and after my flight, I shared a light moment with the flight crew.”

Accompanying his post were photos of smiling crew members, a testament to the gratitude and relief felt by those on board.
