Victoria University’s July intake is now open: Here’s your complete guide to applying

Victoria University, one of Uganda’s leading private institutions, has officially opened applications for its July 2025 intake. With three intakes every year, this mid-year opportunity is perfect for students ready to begin or advance their academic journey without waiting for the next calendar cycle.

If you’re planning to apply, here’s a clear, step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

Step 1: Complete the Online Application Form
Start by visiting Victoria University’s official website at www.vu.ac.ug. Fill out the application form with accurate and up-to-date information to avoid any processing delays.

For Ugandan undergraduate applicants, the required documents include: a copy of a diploma transcript (if applicable), Copies of UACE and UCE result slips, a copy of your national ID, passport, or birth certificate, and two passport-sized photographs

For international undergraduate applicants, the requirements are: a copy of a diploma certificate (if applicable), certified by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), a copy of an equated certificate (if applicable) from NCHE, a copy of an equated secondary certificate from UNEB, and a copy of your national ID, passport, or birth certificate

Step 2: Payment Prompt

After submitting your application form, you will receive a payment prompt via mobile phone. The application fee is Shs 50,000 for Ugandan applicants and Shs 60,000 for international students. Please complete this payment promptly to move forward in the application process.

Step 3: Application Review

Your application will only be reviewed after the application fee has been paid. During this stage, the admissions team will ensure that all submitted documents meet the initial requirements.

Step 4: Additional Instructions

If your application passes the initial review, you may be required to pay an admission fee—Shs 200,000 for Ugandans and Shs 235,000 for international applicants. You may also be asked to provide any missing documents or correct information in your submitted application.

Step 5: Admission Decision

Victoria University is committed to a fast and efficient admissions process. Once your application is fully reviewed, you can expect to receive your admission letter within one to two business days. If there are delays, you are encouraged to contact the admissions office for support.
