Entebbe Aero Beach owner Cornelius Kodet dies

Cornelius Kodet Lorika, the prominent businessman behind the famous Entebbe Aero Beach, has died. Kodet, one of the most influential wealthy entrepreneurs from Karamoja, passed away on 7 December 2025 at his home in Entebbe, according to a family statement.

Kodet was also the proprietor of Mt Moroto Hotel, a pioneering leisure and hospitality establishment in the Karamoja sub-region. His business ventures played a major role in transforming tourism and entertainment in both Entebbe and Karamoja.

Captain Mike Mukula paid tribute to Kodet, describing him as one of Uganda’s finest businessmen.
“The LORD ALMIGHTY has recalled one of Uganda’s finest businessmen and Karamoja business icon, Kodet Lorika Cornelius (RIP), last night in his house in Entebbe,” he posted on X.

According to the burial programme, a funeral service will be held at All Saints Church Nakasero on Wednesday, 10 December, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
