The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed that the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results will be released on Friday, January 30, 2026.
According to UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule, the decision was reached on Wednesday evening after a closed-door meeting with the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, who is also the First Lady.
The results will be officially released at 11:00am at State Lodge, Nakasero. Kalule said the Minister was fully briefed on the preparations and expressed satisfaction with the process, praising UNEB for ensuring the results are released on schedule.
Kalule also confirmed that all stages of the examination process, including marking, verification and quality assurance, were completed as planned. She noted that a brief internet disruption experienced earlier did not affect the exercise.
UNEB records show that 818,010 candidates registered for the 2025 PLE, an increase of 2.5 per cent from the 797,444 candidates registered in 2024. Of those who sat the examinations, 428,398 were girls while 389,589 were boys.
