Authorities say the suspect, Anyungo Moses, ran away immediately after the shooting.

Police were informed right away and sealed off the prison as a joint security operation began to search for him. The gun used in the attack has been recovered, but the suspect is still on the run and is believed to be armed.

The Prisons Service has asked the public to report any information that could help security teams find him. Investigations are ongoing, and officials say more details will be shared later.
