Kasambya County Member of Parliament David Kabanda has deactivated his X account, formerly Twitter, just minutes after President Yoweri Museveni released the list of his new cabinet.
Is it a coincidence or disappointment?
Recently, Kabanda found himself in the spotlight as the man behind issuing big political statements.

Kabanda, who also serves as the Secretary General of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), a political pressure group led by First Son Muhoozi Kainerugaba, announced that they would not support embattled Anita Among for the 12th Parliament Speaker position and instead endorsed Jacob Markson Oboth-Oboth for the position.
Kabanda further started breaking the news about the raids at Anita Among’s.
Also, speaking during a Thanksgiving party at the now Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oboth-Oboth, Kabanda said “I am like a machine gun, there is someone using it for the good cause am here to fight a just war.”
Amid the such, Muhoozi made a tweet saying several PLU members were being assessed for ministerial positions including Kabanda.

Maybe this statement indicated that it was likely that Kabanda was going to ‘eat big’ in the new cabinet.
However, the only Kabanda that was appointed in the new cabinet is Minsa Kabanda, who retained her position as Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs.
