First Daughter Patience Rwabwogo, the founder and lead pastor of Covenant Nations Church (CNC), is set to be consecrated as an Episcopal Bishop of Covenant Nations Churches in Uganda and beyond.

The consecration is scheduled for August 23 and will be held alongside celebrations marking 20 years of the church, which is based in Luzira, a Kampala suburb.

The ceremony is expected to attract religious leaders from Uganda and abroad, worshippers and political figures, including President Yoweri Museveni.

It will be presided over by internationally renowned American evangelist Bishop Dr LaDonna Osborn, while Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, are also expected to attend.

Pastor Patience regards the Adeboyes as her spiritual parents.

According to the First Daughter, worship ministers Emmanuel Roro and Helen Yilma from Israel will also lead worship during the celebrations.

The event will mark two decades since Covenant Nations Church began as a small house fellowship before growing into a ministry with a presence in Uganda and beyond.

Pastor Patience said the church’s 20-year journey is a testimony to what she described as God’s faithfulness.

“The year began with the assurance from Luke 1:37 that ‘nothing will be impossible with God,’ and we have watched that promise unfold before our eyes,” she said.

She added: “As we look back over 20 years, we are overwhelmed by God’s goodness. Covenant Nations Church has exceeded every expectation, growing from a humble house church into a ministry touching lives across Uganda and beyond.”

Pastor Patience described her consecration as a divine calling rather than a personal achievement, saying it comes with a greater responsibility to serve God’s people.

“As scripture reminds us, promotion comes from the Lord. I receive this calling with humility and gratitude because it carries greater responsibility to serve God’s people,” she said.

She invited Christians in Uganda and beyond to join the celebrations and give thanks for what she described as God’s faithfulness throughout Covenant Nations Church’s 20-year journey.
