Hamza Wandera, a young brother to Boxer Kassim Ouma was shot in Amsterdam on Saturday night.

Wandera, who is also a boxer, was caught up in crossfire where armed men shot four people.

Wandera is currently in hospital nursing injuries and his friend Anda Daku told Matooke Republic that fortunately he wasn’t shot in the upper body, so he is out of danger.

“Thanks lovely pple! He’s doing great! Cuz of ya prayers lovely people! Just “AMEN” bless,” Daku posted on his Facebook wall.

Wandera is also a professional boxer with 18 wins (13 knock outs), eight losses and three draws. He currently resides in Nairobi, though he travels to Europe for bouts.

Amsterdam Police was still investigating the cause of the shooting but it was unfortunate the Wandera got caught in the crossfire. “He got shot for nothing,” Daku said.

We wish him quick recovery.
