The inaugural Kampala Fashion week is on this weekend. Organised by fashion designer Gloria Wavamunno, the event will bring together renowned Ugandan designers in a show stopping fashion extravaganza with haute couture and ready to wear collections.
The list of designers includes, Gloria Wavamunno herself, Sylvia Owori, President Museveni’s daughter Natasha under her House of Kaine, Eguana Fashions, Kwesh, Kas Wear,Martha Jabo, Zana and others.
The featured designer will be José Hendo, an award winning designer from London.
Africa’s Next Top Model winner Stacy Aamito is the face of this year’s Kampala Fashion Week.
It will begin on Thursday 13th November with a seminar at the Uganda German Cultural Society, followed by a media event at Venom Friday.
The main gala will be held at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds on Saturday.
Entrance will be Shs35,000 for students with a valid ID, Shs45,000 for regular seats and Shs125,000 for VIP seats.
