Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club is today travelling to Jinja with high hopes of stretching their lead at the top of the Azam Uganda Premier League Table.

KCCA’s win today against already relegated JMC Hippos will see Kasasiro boys  five points clear ahead of staggering SC Villa. Currently KCCA has 51 points with three games in hand.

“It is an important game for us and therefore we are not undermining our opponents despite the fact that they are already relegated. We play with them in the same league and they would want to end the season on a good note” ,said head coach Mike Mutebi during yesterday’s press briefing.

KCCA FC won the first leg 2-1 at Phillip Omondi stadium thanks to strikes from league top scorer Geoffrey Serunkuuma (19 goals) and departed Joseph Ochaya. They will today seek to complete a season double against the Jinja side.

However, it will not be an easy game for the defending champions since a variety of star players have missed the trip like; Muzamir Mutyaba, Brian Majwega, Allan Okello and first choice goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.

There will be more other five fixtures today in the Azam Premier league and will be played on respective stadiums.

Tuesday, May 2 2017 fixtures

JMC Hippos FC v KCCA FC – Kakindu (4.30pm)
Bright Stars FC v SC Vipers – Mwererwe (4.30pm)
Proline FC v Bul FC- Lugogo (4.30pm)
