Sand Cranes kick off preps ahead of Ivory Coast tie

Uganda Sand Cranes today kick off their non-residential training at Mutoola beach after head coach Salim Muwonge summoned his 20-man squad.

After a week, the Sand Cranes will enter residential training as the first leg against Ivory Coast on September 9 draws closer.

The national beach football team will be taking on the Ivorians at Speena beach in Entebbe. The return leg will take place two weeks later in Abidjan with the winner over two legs qualifying for the 2018 Africa Nations Cup beach soccer championships in Egypt.
