According to a press release from Police, political party colours will not be allowed in Namboole stadium.

Police argues that football is a unifying game thus fans out to keep away politics and political party slogans at the match.

This however, leaves fans in a dilemma.  Since Uganda Cranes signed a deal with Airtel,  the national team went from donning prominently yellow, the colour of their previous sponsor (MTN)  to red (Airtel ) for home games.

The red jerseys have since become the team’s home outfit with white as the away jersey.

Also both colours make part of the national colours; black, yellow and red.

During the Togikwatako campaign, police blocked a number of fans wearing red from watching a Cranes game.

The red colour of late has been popularised by the ‘People Power ‘ pressure group loyal to Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine.

We await to see how police handles the situation.
