Smiles are still dominant in the Uganda Cranes camp as the King of Toro Kingdom, Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru IV, visited the national team during the evening training session yesterday at the Arab Contractors Stadium.

Donned in a Cranes white jersey, dark jacket, jeans and sneakers, the Royal encouraged the players to continue fight for the pride of Uganda.

“Against Congo we were very proud of you and now we’re leading the table. Respect your opponents but do not fear them and as you’re going into the next game kill them off,” King Oyo calmly said.

Cranes’ second Group A encounter against Zimbabwe that lost 1-0 against Egypt is on tomorrow, Wednesday at the Cairo International Stadium.

Patrick Kaddu, the scorer of Uganda’s opening goal against the Democratic Republic of Congo said they will build on the momentum of the first game to get a win.

Uganda’s flag popular

State minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda has said that Uganda’s flag is the second most popular flag in Cairo after Egypt following the Cranes’ win over DR Congo.

“Our excellence in sports is a very big move in promoting our tourism industry. As a country we must invest in sports not only to get fame but also to boost our tourism,” Kiwanda said.
