TOKYO OLYMPICS: Kathleen Noble finishes 3rd in repechage, out of medal contention

Uganda’s rower Kathleen Noble has today morning participated in her second outing in the ongoing games at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The country’s historic rower finished out the two qualification slots as she came 3rd in Heat 3 of the repechage after posting 8:36.01. Repechage 3 was won by 24 year old Milena Venega Cancio from Cuba who posted a timing of 8:17:30. Hung Wing Yan Winnee from Hong Kong was second in the race with a time of 8:23:58.

Kathleen will now compete in the semifinals E/F on Sunday (9:20am EAT). The E/F semifinals will determine the ultimate rankings for rowers out of the medal contention.

In the first race on Friday, Kathleen had recorded a timing of 8:21:85 (national record) to finish fifth.
