Local Football governing body FUFA yesterday evening announced the reappointment of Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic as the Head coach of the Uganda Cranes on a three year renewable contract effective August 1 2021.

The development meant Micho will steer Uganda Cranes for the second time having taken charge of the team from 2013 to 2017. The most memorable achievement during his first tenure, Micho led Uganda to the first AFCON Finals after 37 years.

The announcement attracted mixed reactions with some in support of FUFA’s choice while others cautioned the decision.

Here are some of the selected reactions;

They’ve appointed Micho as our head coach again. I honestly preferred Sebastian Desabre. He gave us a good identity ??‍♂️

FUFA is the NRM of football, why bring back Micho?

@PatriqKanyomozi I hope Micho doesn’t have Magogo’s nudes ; because surely how do you convincingly explain this reappointment of Mlutin to coach the cranes ?

— JOEL SEBUNJO ?? (@jsebunjo) July 27, 2021

Micho was sacked in Rwanda, we brought him here and he took us to AFCON.

Now he has been sacked in Zambia and we have hired him to take us to World Cup?.

Micho Back!
We building a new team around young talents.We need a coach with new ideas.A coach who adds smting extra on these boys.A coach who builds a new cultureWe need to win with style.He ain't the perfect fit to give us all that!

Don’t think we should have brought back Micho. Popular guy but as shown in his time at Orlando Pirates and as Zambia head coach, he clearly has few notes

Let's see if he proves us wrong.

Micho is that ex that the Uganda Cranes can never get over with. Welcome Coach @michocoach pic.twitter.com/R3S3eqnWl9

@OfficialFUFA we hope the dos and don'ts have clearly been defined this time. Otherwise desired change goes beyond what meets the eye and definitely demands a detailed reshuffle. @ATaremwa do you copy? https://t.co/F5e5JTeVmC
