Senegal’s President Macky Sall has declared Monday a public holiday to celebrate the national football team’s first-ever African Cup of Nations title.

Previously, ‘The Lions of Teranga’ have lost two AFCON finals in 2002 and 2019.

However, last night the team managed to take the crown home following their victory against Egypt.
