The draws for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers have been conducted in Johannesburg, South Africa, pitting Uganda against South Africa, Congo Brazaville, and South Sudan in Group K.
The draw event was conducted by Ivory Coast Head Coach Emerse Faé and former Morocco international Marouane Chamakh.
Uganda, placed in Pot 2, was drawn against teams from Pots 1, 3, and 4, including South Africa from Pot A, Congo from Pot 3, and South Sudan from Pot 4.
Uganda aims to return to the Africa Cup of Nations after missing the last two editions and will co-host the 2027 edition with Tanzania and Kenya.
The qualification games will be played in September, October, and November this year, with only the top two teams from each group, besides the group containing hosts Morocco, qualifying for the final tournament.
