The Uganda Cranes are fully prepared for their Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier match against South Sudan, set to take place today at Mandela National Stadium.

Following an intensive week of training that began on Monday, the team is confident of a strong performance against their regional rivals. Head coach Paul Put expressed his confidence in the squad, emphasizing their readiness.

“We’ve trained hard and I’m confident we’re prepared to face South Sudan. The players are in excellent shape, and we are all focused on securing a win,” Put said. “It won’t be an easy match, but with the support of our home fans, I believe we can deliver a great performance and come out on top.”

Team captain Khalid Aucho also sounded a note of caution, reminding his teammates not to underestimate their opponents.

“Games against neighboring countries are always tough. We don’t expect South Sudan to make it easy for us. As players, we need to stay focused and avoid any complacency. We’ll give it our all to ensure victory,” Aucho said.

With four points from their first two matches, Uganda is looking to strengthen their qualification campaign with a win. After today’s fixture, the two sides will meet again next Tuesday for the return leg at Juba Stadium.
