Equity Bank Uganda has been unveiled as the Main Partner for the upcoming African Nations Cup UK (ANCUK) 2025, a landmark event that blends football, culture, and African pride into a vibrant two-day celebration. The tournament is set to take place on June 21 and 22, 2025, at the Bobby Moore Sports Hub in Parsloes Park, Dagenham, London.

Billed as the most significant celebration of African heritage in the diaspora, ANCUK 2025 will feature over a dozen national football teams, cultural showcases, and exhibitions aimed at uniting and uplifting the African community abroad. The event seeks not only to spotlight sporting talent but also to promote African excellence on the global stage.

Equity Bank Uganda’s involvement is driven by its pan-African vision. As a financial institution with deep roots across the continent, the bank is dedicated to empowering African communities both within and beyond national borders. Through its diaspora banking services, cross-border financial solutions, and investment platforms, Equity Bank provides a critical link between African dreams and real-world opportunities.

Throughout the tournament, the bank will be actively engaging with the African diaspora in the UK, offering tailored financial advice and services. These efforts are aimed at encouraging investment back home and strengthening the economic ties between Ugandans abroad and their communities.

The tournament itself will feature fierce competition across two categories. The Open Age division includes teams from Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, DR Congo, Kenya, Nigeria, Somalia, Zimbabwe, and Ghana. The Under-18 division will see young talent from Tanzania, Morocco, and South Africa showcase their skills, underlining the tournament’s mission to celebrate both legacy and future stars of African football.

Beyond the matches, ANCUK 2025 promises a festival-like atmosphere, with live music, fashion exhibitions, food stalls, and cultural performances expected to draw crowds from across the UK and Europe. For Equity Bank Uganda and the wider African community, the event stands as a powerful reminder that the continent’s spirit, talent, and unity can flourish far beyond its borders.
