Uganda, placed in Group C alongside Niger, Guinea, Algeria, and South Africa, will kick off its campaign on 4th August 2025 against Algeria.

Although Uganda qualified automatically as a co-host nation—alongside Kenya and Tanzania—the Cranes still participated in the qualifiers, defeating Burundi 2–0 on aggregate. According to the technical staff, those competitive fixtures were crucial in sharpening the team ahead of the finals.
