As the Uganda Cranes prepare for their CHAN 2024 quarter-final showdown, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reduced the number of tickets each fan can purchase online—from a maximum of five to three per person.

According to Dennis Mugimba, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education and Sports and the CHAN Tournament Local Organising Committee, the decision is intended to curb fraud and prevent ticket scalping.

“The aim is to stop individuals from bulk-buying and reselling tickets at inflated prices. There will be no physical tickets; everything is strictly online,” Mugimba said, urging fans to purchase only through official digital platforms.

He further warned that any physical tickets circulating are fake, explaining that the electronic ticketing system at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, automatically detects counterfeit or duplicate entries.

The Cranes take on Senegal this Saturday at Namboole, with tickets priced at Shs20,000 for Ordinary, Shs40,000 for Silver, and Shs60,000 for Premium.

Tickets will be released to the market soon, and fans are encouraged to buy early via the official link: 👉 https://chan.ticket.ug/quarter-final
