NEMA in partnership with Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green embarked on a Caravan to Moroto urging communities, schools, churches and mosques to protect and conserve their environment.

The caravan spent their IDD in Kumi district where the imam welcomed the team and said that it’s a sign of blessings to plant a tree as it shows ever -lasting love and care of Allah. 10 trees were planted around the mosque and at Township primary school.

This year’s world Environment Day theme is aimed to advise the government, industries, communities and individuals to come together to explore renewable energy and green technologies and also improve the quality of air in cities and the world .
